Corridors of the City
Tower 42 was the first skyscraper in the City of London to reach through existing height restrictions on tall buildings 1980. It signalled a change that led to a cluster of newer steel and glass high-rise office buildings being built in the City over the last two decades. These tall buildings are mostly seen at a distance but if experienced at street level they reflect each other across the narrow lanes in frame after frame as one turns each corner.
On this walk, discover London’s modern architecture through these corridors of glass, steel and stone and the remarkable contrasts they create within the historic Square Mile.
